Situation at the front: At this moment, the number of combat clashes has increased to 87

The Ukrainian defenders are heroically holding the defense against the advance of Russian invaders. The most tense situation is currently in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions. The defense forces are taking all necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory.

This is reported in the General Staff’s update as of 16:00 on November 18. At this time, the number of combat clashes has increased to 87. The terrorists continue to kill Ukrainians, destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with missile, aviation, and artillery strikes.

Today, communities in Sumy region, including Novenke and Pavlivka, suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling. In addition, the Russians carried out airstrikes using GABs in the Basivka area.

The situation at the front

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted to assault our positions in the Vovchansk area three times. They conducted airstrikes in Kozacha Lopan, dropping five GABs.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian occupiers attacked the Defence Forces seven times in the areas of Kruhlyakivka and Lozove. Two battles are still ongoing. Ukrainian warriors are firmly holding the defense and inflicting losses on the enemy.

In the Toretsk direction, with air support, the enemy attempted to break through our defense in the Toretsk area. Kostyantynivka was under GAB strikes.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders, with air support, made 17 attempts to dislodge our defenders from positions in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysyivka, Petrivka, Pustynka, and Novooleksiivka. The defense forces are holding back the pressure and have repelled ten enemy attacks, with seven clashes still ongoing.

In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy army attacked 23 times near the settlements of Berestki, Sontsivka, Voznesenka, Dalne, Yelizavetivka, Katerynivka, and Antonivka. Six attempts by the invaders to advance have already been repelled. The enemy shelled Romanivka and Dachne with GABs.

In the Lyman direction, the invader army carried out two attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novolyubivka and Bilohorivka during the day. One clash has ended, and one continues.

In the Vremivka direction, there were 12 enemy attacks near Trudove, Rozdolne, Makarivka, Rivnopil, and Novodarivka. Seven clashes are ongoing.

The enemy unsuccessfully attacked our defenders six times in the Prydniprovskyi direction.

An operation is ongoing in the Kursk region. Since the beginning of the day, Russian planes have carried out 15 strikes (21 GABs) on their own territory. Ukrainian warriors have repelled ten enemy attacks today, and battles are ongoing.
