In Kyiv, a separate air defence group is being created to strengthen the protection of the capital, - media

The air defense of Kyiv will be strengthened. In particular, a separate military air defence unit is being created to protect the airspace over the capital.

This was reported by "Telegraf", citing a source in the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that this decision was made due to "current threats".

New air defense forces and means have been redeployed to the Kyiv region. The coordination and effectiveness of mobile fire groups have also been enhanced.

The new military structure will be commanded by Colonel Yuriy Cherevashchenko.
