The fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared information about the defence of Chasiv Yar

Russian occupation forces continue their attempts to capture Chasiv Yar. Enemy attacks have intensified – the Russians are launching several assaults per day.

This was reported by Andriy Polukhin, a representative of the press service of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, on the air of "Suspilne Studio".

According to Polukhin, the enemy is trying to "break through" to the rear through the positions of the Ukrainian infantry and start fighting there. Logistics within the city is complicated, but the Defense Forces continue to supply weapons and fighters to combat positions.

"If we were unable to deliver weapons, equipment, ammunition, and fighters, the defense of Chasiv Yar probably would not be successful," he added.

In response to a question about the Russian forces gathered around Chasiv Yar, Polukhin stated that there are two military units of the occupiers: one – airborne, the other – mechanized. He noted that he cannot specify the exact number – Ukrainian forces are reducing it daily.

"The defence is currently being conducted with the help of artillery, mortars, and drones. Ukrainian forces are searching for the enemy in the ruins of the Kanal neighborhood, we see their movement towards the canal, and they may cross it; these targets are visible, and our troops are working on them," summarized Andriy Polukhin.
