Former Deputy Chairman of the High Commercial Court Yemelyanov has been taken into custody without bail

The court sent former Deputy Chairman of the High Commercial Court, Artur Yemelyanov, to detention until January 30, 2025, without the possibility of bail.

This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigations

"The court chose a preventive measure for the former Deputy Chairman of the High Commercial Court of Ukraine in the form of detention without the possibility of bail until January 30, 2025."

The bureau recalled that the former official was detained on December 3. He is suspected of organizing a "business" on court decisions together with other judges.

It was established that Yemelyanov was part of a criminal organization consisting mainly of judges, lawyers, insolvency officers, various court employees, etc. They made "needed" decisions for bribes, mainly in commercial disputes.

The organizer of the "business" was named as a former senior official of the High Commercial Court of Ukraine (according to media reports, former head of the High Commercial Court Viktor Tatkov – ed.). According to the SBI, he unlawfully interfered in the distribution of cases and assigned them exclusively to "his" judges, who fulfilled "clients’ wishes."
