NABU detained the head of the specialized court, Artymovych, for receiving a monetary benefit
Law enforcement representatives promised to influence the court’s decision and prevent the murder of the whistleblower, which his opponents were planning.
In the Lviv region, a current and former heads of a specialized court were exposed for corruption. They demanded a bribe of 1 million USD from the owner of a private company.
This was reported by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
For this money, the judges promised to deliver "necessary decisions" in the cases of the Western Economic Court of Appeal, as well as to prevent the murder of the whistleblower, which his opponents in the court process were planning," the statement noted.

It is reported that the judges received the first installment of 75 thousand dollars, and detectives and prosecutors documented their receipt of the bribe.
"At the moment, the current and former heads of the Economic Court of the Lviv region have been notified of the suspicion under part 2 of Article 28, part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This is the first exposure of a head of a specialized court of general jurisdiction by anti-corruption bodies," the NABU reported.
The investigation is also currently looking for other court employees involved in the bribery case.
According to "Slovo i Dilo", it refers to the head of the Economic Court of Lviv region Vasyl Artymoych, whom NABU detectives recently searched. Before Artymoych, this position was held by Mykhaylo Yurkevych.
"On the instruction of the head of the SAPO, the prosecutor, with the participation of NABU detectives, informed the current and former heads of the Economic Court of one of the regions, exposed in demanding 1 million USD of undue advantage from a representative of a private company, of the suspicion. The actions of the suspects are qualified under part 2 of Article 28, part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," informs the SAPO.
