Russia launched fifty drones at Ukraine overnight: 27 drones have been confirmed shot down

On the night of December 16, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine with 49 strike drones (Shahed and other types) from the regions of Bryansk and Orel.

This was reported by the Air Force.

The attack was countered by anti-aircraft missile forces, EW units, and mobile fire groups.

According to the military, as of 8:30 a.m., it was confirmed that 27 drones were shot down in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Another 19 Russian drones did not reach their targets due to the active opposition of the Defence Forces (location was lost).

There were no strikes or damage.
