This was stated by the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, Podolyak.

He does not explicitly rule out Ukraine’s involvement but notes that it prefers other methods, such as legal prosecution.

“In Zakharova’s subjective version, it was said that he was a big revealer of poisoner agents, so perhaps this is an internal showdown. He went where he shouldn’t have, found out what he shouldn’t have, said something inappropriate, and so on,” Podolyak stated.

Earlier, Reuters, the BBC, and a number of Ukrainian media outlets, citing sources, reported that the murder of Kyrylov was organized by the SSU. A day before the murder, the SBU charged him with suspicion. Medvedev has already stated that there will be “inevitable retribution” for the leadership of Ukraine.
