The situation on the front: The hottest situation is in the Vremivka direction

Since the beginning of the day on Sunday, December 22, the number of combat clashes on the front has increased to 117. The most tense situation remains in the Vremivka direction, where 23 battles have occurred.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

It is specified that border settlements have suffered from shelling from the territory of the aggressor country. In the Kharkiv direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has been conducting offensive operations in the areas of the settlements of Hoptivka, Hlyboke, Vysoka Yaruha, Starytsia, with a total of five clashes, one attack is still ongoing.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out six assault actions near Kucheriivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Bohuslavka, Zahorizov, and Nova Kryshtynivka. One combat clash continues.

In the Lyman direction, the invaders attacked 23 times near settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Novoserhiyivka, Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Terny, Toretske, Hryhorivka, and towards Druzheliubivka, Dibrova, Serebrianka. Sixteen enemy attacks remain unfinished.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy attacked our units four times in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamianske, and Vyiimka. Three attacks are still ongoing.

The Defence Forces repelled two Russian attacks near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky in the Kramatorsk direction, with one battle still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked four times near the settlements of Toretsk and Druzhba. Two combat clashes continue.

According to the General Staff, in the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers made 17 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Sukh Balka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Dachenske, Novoukrainka, Pokrovsk, Novovasylivka, Novoyelizavetivka, and Novoolenivka. The Defense Forces are holding back the enemy’s pressure and repelled 13 attacks, with four combat clashes still ongoing.

Today, in the Kurakhove direction, the aggressor attacked nine times near the settlements of Sonovka, Stari Terny, Kurakhove, and Dachne. Four combat clashes have been completed, and five more are ongoing.

In addition, in the Vremivka direction, the occupiers attacked Ukrainian troops’ positions 23 times near Novosilka, Kostiantynopilskyi, Yantarne, Uspenivka, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, Novosilka, Blahodatne, and Vremivka, with seven clashes continuing until now.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked once in the direction of Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the Defence Forces repelled one enemy attack, with no success for the aggressor.

According to the press service, in the operational zone in the Kursk region, the units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled 10 attacks by Russian aggressors during the day, and 11 more attacks are ongoing.
