Cabinet of Ministers extended the current deferments from mobilization for a month due to a cyber attack

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to automatically extend the current deferrals from mobilization by one month. This was done due to a cyberattack on state registers.

This was reported with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

As specified by the department, this decision of the government applies to those deferrals that were valid as of December 19.

"Deferrals granted by the Ministry of Economy or through the "Diya" portal are automatically extended by one month, but no longer than until February 28, 2025," the department’s statement reads.

The Ministry of Economy explained that, for example, if an employee’s deferral was set to expire on December 20, 2024, it will be automatically extended until January 20, 2025. If the deferral expired before December 19, meaning before the cyberattack, employers will be able to renew it once the registers are operational again.

"This decision allows individuals subject to military service with a current deferral to maintain it without unnecessary procedures. We ensure transparency and convenience in these processes, which is crucial during wartime," noted the Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindrativ.
