Russian occupiers have increased the number of artillery shellings in southern Ukraine by one-third over the past day. Meanwhile, in the Vremivka direction, the enemy is conducting fewer assaults.
This was reported by the spokesperson for the Defence Forces of southern Ukraine, Vladyslav Voloshyn, during a telethon.
"The enemy launched a combined missile strike early in the morning. Our air defenders actively defended. However, the past day was quite tense in our operational zone, as the enemy continued artillery shellings and increased them by about one-third," Voloshyn said.
According to him, if previously the number of artillery shellings ranged from 250 to 350, this time the occupiers delivered 350 to 370 strikes.
At the same time, as the spokesperson noted, in the Vremivka direction, the number of enemy assaults has somewhat decreased.
"In the Vremivka direction, there were 10 fewer assaults - not 44, but 34. Regarding the Kherson or the so-called Prydniprovsk direction, the situation has remained stable for several weeks: the enemy conducted four assault actions," Voloshyn added.
According to the spokesperson, in this direction, the Russians conduct five to seven assaults daily.
At the same time, shellings of Kherson and adjacent settlements on the right bank of the Dnipro by drones, guided aerial bombs, and unguided aerial missiles from the enemy do not decrease.
