DIU: The Russian Federation plans to transfer some equipment from Syria to Libya
The military command of the aggressor country, the Russian Federation, plans to relocate part of its military equipment and weapons from Syria to Africa, particularly to Libya. The cargo is being transported by planes and ships.
This was reported on January 3 by the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. According to the DIU, at the naval base in the city of Tartus, Syria, the Russians are awaiting their military ships.
Among them are mercenaries from the "African Corps," which is under the control of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
On January 5, Russian large landing ships "Ivan Gren" and "Aleksandr Otrakovsky," as well as the cargo ship Sparta, are expected to enter this port as they are currently en route to Tartus in the Mediterranean Sea.
On board the "Aleksandr Otrakovsky" is the chief of staff of the 121st brigade of landing ships of the aggressor state’s fleet, Captain 1st rank Yury Davityan.
On January 8, two more Russian ships are expected to arrive in Tartus – the universal cargo ship Sparta II and the tanker "Ivan Skobelev," which are currently planning to cross the Strait of Gibraltar.

The cargo ships Sparta and Sparta II are planned by Russia to be used for transporting military equipment and weapons from Syria to Libya, as reported by the DIU.
Another warship from the operational unit of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea – the frigate "Admiral Golovko" – plans to refuel.
Meanwhile, at one of the airfields in the Vladimir region of Russia, they have unloaded what are likely armored personnel carriers (APCs) brought from Syria, according to Ukrainian intelligence.
