Man tried to set flags on fire on Maidan Nezalezhnosti: police are looking for him

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers are trying to identify a man who attempted to damage flags installed at Independence Square in honor of fallen soldiers.

This was informed by the press service of the Main Department of the National Police of Kyiv.

Law enforcement officers discovered the incident while monitoring social networks, where a video was published.

The video shows a young man pouring liquid from a fire starter bottle on the flags and attempting to set them on fire.

“This information has been registered by the Shevchenkivske police department. Currently, law enforcement officers are taking measures to identify the offender and detain him,” the statement said.
