Eight countries have agreed on defence cooperation plans with Ukraine until 2027
At today’s meeting of the "Ramstein" contact group, an agreement was reached to conclude eight roadmaps for defense cooperation with Ukraine by 2027.
This was reported by the Pentagon.
The parties plan to formalize the official agreements by July 13, 2024, following the summer NATO summit.
"Focusing on capacity targets by 2027, our countries intend to closely engage with Ukraine to achieve these benchmarks. This will be done through national contributions, procurement, investments, and strengthening the defence industrial base. Consideration will be given to both Ukraine’s current needs in wartime and long-term goals," the statement reads.
The key areas of cooperation mentioned include the development and support of the Ukrainian defense industry, as well as the use of international capabilities to strengthen Ukraine’s defence potential.
