Ukraine wants to obtain security guarantees and end the war with the Russian Federation, - Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine seeks to obtain security guarantees and end the war with Moscow this year.

According to him, the determination of security guarantees should take place before other agreements are reached.

"It is very important for us for peace to come. We want peace more than anyone else. And it is understandable because we are losing more than anyone else, primarily people. But before agreeing on anything, it is crucial that there are serious security guarantees for Ukraine and the whole of Europe. This is the protection of Ukraine and security guarantees – that Russia will not return again with aggression, as it was after the occupation of Crimea in 2014, and then in 2015.

In an interview with the Italian TV channel RaiNews24, he spoke about the need for serious security guarantees for Ukraine and Europe before any negotiations. He also mentioned Italy’s role in supporting Ukraine and the importance of European unity in the fight against Russian aggression."
