Situation on the front: 125 combat engagements recorded

As of 16:00 on January 19, there have been 125 combat clashes on the front, continuing on seven key directions, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their update. The most intense attacks by Russian troops are being conducted in the Pokrovske area.

It is noted that Ukrainian defense forces are inflicting losses on the enemy both at the front line and in its rear.

Situation on the main directions:

Sumy and Chernihiv Regions:
Enemy artillery shelled Prohres, Romanivka, Hrabovske, Pokrovka, Leonivka, Medvedivka, and Berylivka. Strikes with unguided aerial rockets were recorded on Oleksandrivka and Hremiach.

Kharkiv Direction:
Supported by assault aviation, the enemy attempted to attack the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine twice near Vovchansk, but without success. An airstrike was carried out in the area of Vovchanski Khutory.

Kupyansk Direction:
Russian forces conducted seven attacks in the areas of Stroyivka, Pishchane, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, and Lozova. Defense forces repelled four of them, three battles are ongoing.

Lyman Direction:
There were 14 combat clashes near Novoyehorivka, Nadiya, Novosergiivka, Zarechne, Kolodiazy, Terny, and in the Serebrianske Forestry.

Kramatorsk Direction:
The enemy attacked seven times in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora, five battles are currently ongoing.

Toretsk Direction:
Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 11 out of 17 enemy attacks near Toretsk, Dylyivka, and Shcherbinivka.

Pokrovsk Direction:
Russian forces conducted 62 attacks in the areas of Zelene Pole, Oleksandropil, Vodyane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Myroliubivka, and other settlements. Currently, 15 combat clashes are ongoing.

Novopavlivka Direction:
The enemy attacked 12 times in the areas of Kostiantynopil and Velyka Novosilka. Four clashes are still ongoing.

Hulyaipole and Orikhivsk Directions:
The enemy did not conduct active operations today.

Ukrainian defenders are successfully repelling enemy attacks on key directions, exhausting the enemy’s forces. Russian troops continue to suffer losses, both in equipment and manpower.
