To Ukraine, the bodies of 757 fallen defenders were returned

This was reported in Telegram by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

Among them are 451 soldiers from the Donetsk direction; 71 from the Bakhmut direction; 51 from the Vuhledar direction; 13 from the Luhansk direction; and 137 from the Zaporizhzhya direction.

34 bodies were returned from morgues on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The fallen defenders were successfully returned thanks to the joint efforts of the staff of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Central Directorate of Civil-Military Cooperation of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Joint Center of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons Missing under Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service, and other structures of the Security and Defence Sector of Ukraine.

The Coordination Headquarters expressed gratitude for the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Special thanks were expressed to the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who carry out the transportation of repatriated fallen heroes to designated state specialized institutions, organize the transfer of the deceased to representatives of law enforcement agencies in the Ministry of Internal Affairs system and forensic examination in the Ministry of Health system.

The identities of the deceased will be established in the shortest possible time by investigators of law enforcement agencies in cooperation with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, according to the headquarters.
