Military technicians servicing IRIS-T systems are being transferred to the infantry, - Honcharenko

According to information from the deputy, the units received an order to transition to infantry, and in case of refusal, they may be excluded from the unit.

The military personnel servicing the Western IRIS-T air defence systems are being transferred to infantry. This was reported by the Ukrainian Member of Parliament, member of the "European Solidarity" faction, Oleksiy Honcharenko, on his social media.

"I have information that military technicians servicing the IRIS-T systems are being transferred to infantry. According to them, orders are being issued for transfer or exclusion from the unit. And now we’re returning to the statements of the General Staff, where they claimed that military personnel trained on Western weaponry would not be transferred to infantry," the deputy wrote.

"If technicians who service Western air defense systems are sent to the infantry, then who will replace them in servicing the Western weaponry? Will there be any explanation?" the MP asked.

The Air Force has yet to comment on the information from MP Honcharenko.
