Zelenskyy: The format of peace negotiations will depend on the plan to end the war

This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, at a press conference together with his Moldovan colleague, Maia Sandu.

According to the president, the exclusion of Ukraine from any negotiation platform is impossible because such a platform would have only a political effect without real results and would not be connected to security or the end of the war.

"Secondly, I had good meetings with Trump (U.S. President - ed.), and conversations, and I once again support his drive for success. I am confident that he has great chances, and we believe he will succeed. This is only possible with Ukraine," Zelenskyy said, adding that otherwise, it wouldn’t work.

At the same time, the president expressed understanding that contacts between the parties involved in the negotiations could take place in different formats.

"The formats depend on what the plan for ending the war will be. I am seriously determined that everyone, the American side, the European side, all are striving for success, and success for everyone is peace. And I think this is very important. The formats before the meeting, one or another, should be determined on paper. The format, how we can achieve a just peace," he noted.
