In the Odesa region, a subdivision accountant is suspected of embezzling 2.3 million UAH allocated as payments to soldiers listed as missing, reports the State Bureau of Investigation.

The head of the financial and economic department indicated the bank card number of his acquaintance in the documents. Notably, the supervisor did not verify this information.

He is currently under arrest, and the case has been referred to the court.
