In Kyiv, criminals beat and robbed the homeowners who sheltered them
Law enforcement officers detained two young men who, according to the investigation, are involved in a robbery. The perpetrators decided to "celebrate" their move to Kyiv with alcohol, and when they were reprimanded, they beat the homeowners who sheltered them, robbed them, and then fled.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police. The suspects face up to 10 years in prison.
"Two Kyivans aged 17 and 18 contacted law enforcement officers with a report of a crime. The victims said that the previous day they received a call from an acquaintance who asked them to shelter two of his friends for a few days, as they wanted to find a job in Kyiv," the press service reported.
It is noted that the guests arrived in the evening and decided to have a feast, which lasted until midnight. When the homeowners reprimanded the young men, the visitors beat them and, while fleeing, took mobile phones, a laptop, power banks, and other devices, clothing, etc. The perpetrators were detained in Zhytomyr in an apartment of a friend where they planned to hide. They were identified as two young men aged 19 and 24, the latter having a prior conviction for property-related crimes.

A criminal case has been opened for robbery combined with violence committed under martial law, and the detainees have been informed of the suspicion. The court chose a preventive measure for them in the form of detention with the possibility of bail.
