Budanov refuted reports about the withdrawal of North Korean troops from the Kursk region

The head of the Main Defence Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, denied information that the North Korean military had allegedly withdrawn from the front line in the Kursk region, as previously reported by The New York Times.

According to him, the activity of the North Korean units has indeed decreased in recent days, but they continue to participate in combat operations.

«The reports in the media are false. We need to wait some time to understand whether these changes are permanent or just a temporary decrease in activity,» Budanov said in a comment to The War Zone.
