Expert: The Russian army is preparing for a prolonged offensive operation
The aggressor Russia plans a prolonged offensive operation that will last from six to nine months. This is confirmed by the decreased intensity of combat operations at the front.
This was stated by military analyst Oleksiy Hetman.
"The main reason for the decreased intensity of combat operations is not the exhaustion of the Russian army, but its preparation for possible offensive actions in the spring of this year," Hetman noted.
According to him, Russian forces plan to start their offensive around the end of March - early April. It’s about a protracted offensive operation, the expert believes.
"They themselves claim that they are counting on its duration from six months to nine months, practically for the entire year 2025, despite the information about possible peace talks," Hetman says.
According to him, in preparing for the offensive operation, the occupiers aim to prepare their troops, including those units that have suffered heavy losses. Russians also want to accumulate equipment and bring it into combat readiness. Despite significant losses, the invaders have enough forces to continue offensive actions.
"Believing that we have beaten them so badly that they are incapable of continuing combat operations would be an overly optimistic exaggeration. They still have more than half a million people at the front line, as before," the military expert emphasizes.
