Trump and Putin discussed Ukraine, economic relations, and citizen exchanges

During a phone conversation, former US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed a range of important issues, including the situation in Ukraine.

Trump advocated for the prompt cessation of hostilities.

Additionally, the leaders touched upon bilateral economic relations between the US and Russia, as well as the issue of exchanging citizens of the two countries. Washington guaranteed the implementation of the agreements reached.

Putin, for his part, expressed a willingness to welcome American officials to Russia, including for discussions on the situation surrounding Ukraine.
