Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine needs an additional 20 Patriot systems

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the Defence Forces need an additional 20 Patriot systems to protect Ukraine’s airspace. He announced this during a press conference for journalists.

"We need 20 more Patriots. That’s exactly $30-35 billion. If the U.S. provides us with $35 billion in the form of Patriots, we will consider that they have invested $35 billion. And we, on our part, will be ready to invest $35 billion," said Zelenskyy, emphasizing that currently "not all systems promised at the Washington NATO conference" have been delivered to Ukraine.

The head of state also commented on the potential disconnection of commercial Starlink satellites. Zelenskyy is convinced that disconnecting Ukrainians from Starlink "is wrong, especially since we pay for them monthly."

"There are 45 thousand Starlink systems operating in Ukraine. These are hospitals, kindergartens [not just the front line]. Payments are made for Starlink every month. This is not free aid from the U.S.," said the president, noting that there have been "no hints" from the U.S. about disconnecting Starlink.
