Russian forces launched 208 drones at Ukraine, air defence destroyed 107

On the night of February 28, Russian terrorists attacked Ukraine with 208 Shahed-type drones and decoy drones. The air defence forces managed to shoot down 107 of them.

This was reported with reference to the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The drones launched the attack from the directions of the Russian cities of Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The air attack was repelled by:

• aviation;
• anti-aircraft missile forces;
• electronic warfare units;
• mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

As of 9 am, 107 drones have been confirmed shot down in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, and other regions.

Notably, 97 decoy drones disappeared locally without negative consequences.

As a result of the attack, the following were affected:

• Kharkiv region;
• Sumy region;
• Mykolaiv region;
• Zaporizhzhya.
