MP Mykyta Poturayev denied the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada to Trump and the US Congress

People’s Deputy Mykyta Poturayev stated that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not adopt an appeal to US President Donald Trump and Congress in support of his peace initiatives, which was published on the official website of the parliament.

Poturayev noted that the request posted on the Rada’s website was not adopted and expressed dissatisfaction with the dissemination of false information. "I urge media representatives to pay attention: the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did NOT address anyone in Washington or elsewhere in the USA. Please do not mislead the public," he emphasized.

At the same time, the appeal continues to remain on the parliament’s website. Previously, MP Iryna Herashchenko confirmed that such an appeal was adopted by the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada. In the statement, which Herashchenko supported, gratitude was expressed to the USA for its assistance and a call was made to continue supporting Ukraine.
