Ukraine is ready to end the war, - Minister of Foreign Affairs Sybiha

Ukraine is ready to end the war this year and expects that after the conversation between Putin and Trump, "the situation will become clearer," said Foreign Minister Sybiha.

"After Jeddah, we have a new dynamic, additional opportunities to end this war this year, and we are prepared for this. We are not an obstacle to achieving peace. We are ready to implement the outcomes of the meetings in Jeddah. Today, we might expect a phone conversation between President Trump and President Putin. Therefore, we really hope that after this conversation, the situation will become clearer," said Sybiha in New Delhi.

He added that Ukraine supports Trump’s plan to first stop the hostilities and then move on to peace negotiations.

"We are talking about a ceasefire that undoubtedly makes our peace efforts much more effective. And, of course, measures are needed to build confidence," noted Sybiha.
