Poroshenko questioned the authority of the Ukrainian delegation in Arabia
Former President Petro Poroshenko questioned the authority of the Ukrainian delegation that conducted negotiations with the United States in Saudi Arabia.
He noted that President Yushchenko’s decree, which requires the approval of directives before such negotiations, is still in effect.
"The decree states that only three people in the state can act, make statements, and negotiate on behalf of Ukraine without directives and instructions: the President, the Prime Minister within the scope of their competence, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. All others require directives, but we have heard nothing about the approval of such directives, which are official documents even if they may be secret. The decree is still in effect. This means that the delegation that went there does not include the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Zelenskyy. It must have directives, and we should publicly know the framework of these limitations," Poroshenko said.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian delegation includes Defence Minister Umyerov and Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Palisa. Previously, negotiations with the Americans were also conducted by the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and Foreign Minister Sybiha.
