Russia has nearly tripled the number of assaults in the Pokrovsk direction, – AFU

Russian troops have almost tripled the number of attacks in the direction of Pokrovsk. Just a week ago, there were 20 to 30 attacks, and now there are 87.

This was stated by the officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Tsekhotskyi, in the program "Kyiv 24". According to him, the enemy is pulling up reserves and hurrying, realizing that they won’t be able to hold out for long.

"At the moment, they have almost tripled the number of attacks. Within a day, compared to last week, when there were 20-22 to 30 attacks, today we announced the number 87. This is almost half of all attacks across the entire front. We know the enemy’s plans and see that they have gathered reserves. Although not very large, they exist, and they are in a hurry," the military officer explained.

Tsekhotskyi added that due to this haste, terrorist attacks on cities and civilian objects have increased. The Russians are doing everything possible to achieve some success on the front, as they know they won’t be able to hold on for long. Meanwhile, the number of liquidated occupiers is approaching a million.

"In any case, this will backfire. Putin needs some ’achievements’ to inform his electorate that we have still achieved the goals of the so-called special military operation. Yes, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Although they are trying not to stop attacks everywhere, more or less, and so on," noted the officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He added that after this, the attacks will cease, and the occupiers will "dig in" to bargain for some conditions.

At the beginning of March, the intensity of enemy attacks decreased by approximately half compared to February and almost 4 times compared to January. However, already in the second half of March, the intensity increased and is more than half of what it was in January. Moreover, the dynamics continue to grow.

The enemy also maintains high activity of attacks in the Kursk region and in the border areas, in the Lyman and Vremivka directions.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that in the past day, 88 attacks by the Russian army were stopped in the direction of Pokrovsk near the settlements of Oleksandrpil, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Novoukrajinka, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, and in the directions of the settlements of Preobrazhenka, Pokrovsk, Promin, Vidrodzhennia, Novoserhiivka.
