The war will not end soon, Russia will try to destroy Ukraine, - Kostenko

The war will not end soon, and Russia will continue trying to achieve its goals — the destruction of Ukraine.

This was stated by Member of Parliament, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence, and Intelligence Roman Kostenko during the broadcast of the project "Tema with Moseychuk".

"I definitely do not believe that the war will end. Russia has already put forward its conditions. We see how Putin spoke, and the Foreign Minister (Sergey Lavrov, - ed.), when they want our territories, which they have not even occupied. They strive for us not to be supplied with weapons, for us to stop mobilization," - notes the MP.

At the same time, he also mentioned the aggressor’s encroachments on Odesa and the entire south.

"Russia will put forward conditions in order to buy time, to gather strength so that with further steps they can resume hostilities and achieve at least some goals that they have not achieved during the large-scale invasion," - believes Roman Kostenko.

However, he added, in Russia, they understand that, regardless of the geopolitical statements they make, they "understand that they have suffered a defeat and are trying to extract the maximum for themselves, taking advantage of the fact that the United States is communicating with them."
