The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the powers of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine in the field of medical assistance and cybersecurity

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has received additional powers in the field of tactical medical assistance and cybersecurity. The corresponding decision was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers.

On Friday, March 28, the Ukrainian government approved a draft resolution "On Amendments to Paragraph 4 of the Regulations on the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine." This document was developed by the defense department.

The information was published on the official website of the Ministry of Defence.

The Ministry of Defence receives the following functions:

• to approve, for the Security and Defence Forces, based on NATO standards, tables of material and technical support, standards, and the scope of providing tactical pre-hospital medical assistance;
• to approve minimum requirements and quality standards for medical products used by the Security and Defence Forces for providing tactical pre-hospital assistance based on NATO quality standards;
• to approve, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, the procedure for medical examinations of conscripts, reservists, and service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service, and the organization of its implementation;
• to develop and approve security measures for information and communication electronic systems owned by the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
• to engage in military cooperation with NATO, international organizations, and other entities in the defense sector to ensure the security of cyberspace and joint protection against cyber threats.
