Russia plans a new offensive: the Office of the President reported on the number of enemy forces

The military command of Ukraine is observing the preparation of the Russian army for the intensification of hostilities on several fronts.

This was reported by Deputy Head of the President’s Office Pavlo Palisa, according to "Suspilne".

According to him, this year the Russian army plans to increase its forces by 150,000 servicemen. This is equivalent to approximately 15 motorized rifle divisions.

"Their formation is ongoing. There are currently no problems with personnel recruitment for the Russians. However, it is important to understand that all these units cannot be deployed in battle simultaneously. Therefore, it is expected that in the near future they will try to exert maximum pressure on those directions where it is possible," said Palisa.

He emphasized that Russia is increasing pressure on the front amid consultations on a ceasefire. For the Russians, this is important only in specific cases, except for issues related to the maritime front.

As for the land areas, the Russians continue to gradually advance, attempting to break through certain sections of the front. This refers to partial tactical successes they are achieving with very large losses.

"If they can afford it, they will continue to drag out the process. On certain sections of the front, the enemy has some successes, but we are also counterattacking and achieving our results," said the Deputy Head of the President’s Office.

Earlier, the Associated Press agency, citing statements from Ukrainian officials and military analysts, reported that the Russian army in the "coming weeks" is preparing for a new offensive on Ukraine across a 1000-kilometer frontline. According to the agency’s journalists, Russia wants to increase pressure on Ukraine and "strengthen the Kremlin’s negotiating position in ceasefire talks."

On March 26, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Figaro stated that the Kremlin leadership "is trying to buy time and is preparing for a spring offensive." According to him, the Russian army is preparing a new offensive, particularly on the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
