On the evening of April 8, Russia carried out a massive attack on Kharkiv using "Shahed" kamikaze drones. A series of powerful explosions were heard in the city, resulting in damage to civilian infrastructure and injuries to civilians.

The attacks were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi, Industrialnyi, and Osnovyanskyi districts of the city. This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov, and the State Emergency Service.

Already in the morning of April 9, at 05:00, the State Emergency Service informed that civilian infrastructure was hit by Russian drones in several areas of Kharkiv, sparking fires.

"The strikes hit civilian enterprises, warehouses and production buildings, and car services. There were 6 ignition points. The total area of the fire was over 1200 square meters. According to preliminary data, 2 people were injured. Units of the State Emergency Service, National Police, medical personnel, and utility services are working at the scene," the report states.
