Lost control over Toretsk may worsen the situation in the Kostyantynivka direction - Seleznyov

In recent weeks, the situation in Toretsk has begun to deteriorate. The enemy has pushed the Defence Forces from the city center to its outskirts and increased pressure on nearby settlements.

This was reported by the former speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vladyslav Seleznyov.

According to the former speaker, the loss of control over Toretsk could lead to a significant deterioration of the situation in the Chasiv Yar area. Thus, Russian forces may gain a convenient platform to attack towards Kostyantynivka.

"Kostyantynivka is part of the large urban agglomeration ’Sloviansk-Kramatorsk-Druzhkivka and Kostyantynivka’. This means that in the near future, we can expect battles in the direction of Kostyantynivka. The enemy will concentrate its efforts during the spring-summer campaign precisely in this urban agglomeration," Seleznyov predicts.
