From his point of view, the "Chinese question" is acquiring quite a serious significance. Ukrainian intelligence believes that in reality there are significantly more Chinese citizens in the Russian army, with passport data, including origin, Chinese documents, age, etc., available for only 155 of them.

Zelenskyy made it clear that the Chinese authorities are aware of the recruitment.

"The recruitment scheme is clear. One of the methods is through social media, especially through ’TikTok’ and other Chinese social networks where Russians post promotional videos. Official Beijing is aware of this. Russians spread recruitment videos through Chinese social networks. This is not secret recruitment – this is important... These two were detained in the Donetsk direction. We believe that others are located in eastern Ukraine, but a factual check needs to be conducted," he noted.
