Kallas spoke about the progress regarding 2 million shells for Ukraine
As of mid-April, the European Union has already managed to secure two-thirds of the initiative for two million artillery shells for Ukraine.
This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, during a conversation with journalists.
“We are seeing the most lethal attacks in this war, with civilians dying. And it has been a month since Ukraine agreed to an unconditional ceasefire. We do not observe this from the Russian side. It is only clear that we need to support Ukraine more, and I am glad to see that we already have two-thirds of my initiative regarding ammunition,” she stated.
She also added that the West needs to do more for Ukraine and reminded that European partners have already committed to 23 billion euros this year.
According to Kallas, it is also necessary today to exert maximum pressure on Russia, so that the Kremlin agrees to stop the war.
“And we see that Russia really wants war, and everyone who wants the killings to stop must exert maximum pressure on Russia,” she added.
