BES uncovered an illegal establishment in the center of Kyiv: an online casino masquerading as a TV studio

Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security (BES) in the city of Kyiv uncovered an illegal online platform operating under the guise of a streaming service and media project. In reality, the resource was used to organize illegal gambling without the necessary permits.

According to the pre-trial investigation, the underground gambling hub operated in the Pechersk district of Kyiv, where online gambling games were conducted, covering the activities of more than ten banned online casinos.

During searches conducted based on a court order, detectives seized technical equipment that ensured the functioning of the gambling network. Among the confiscated items were computers, servers, audio and video equipment, as well as components of the network infrastructure.

The pre-trial investigation continues under part 1 of article 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (engaging in gambling business without a license). The investigation is determining the circle of persons involved in organizing the illegal activities.
