The occupiers in the Lyman direction have "encircled" Nove: battles are taking place for Novomykhaylivka

In the Lyman direction, Russian occupiers have achieved success in the area of the village of Novoe in the Kramatorsk district. They have encircled the settlement from both sides and taken control of all the roads.

This was reported in his Telegram channel by a member of the Ukrainian Defence Forces with the call sign "Muchnoy".

"The enemy has practically surrounded the settlement of Novoe from both sides, all roads leading to the village have been cut off and are under Russian fire control. Also, battles for Novomykhailivka have begun, the enemy is trying to secure a foothold in the southern part, which has not yet succeeded, but I think that in the coming days this may happen," he wrote.

"Muchnoy" noted that he does not rule out that the occupiers may advance here, as the forces are unequal.

"In the future development of events, the enemy will attempt to capture Ridkodub, Andriivka, and Izyumske, then move toward the Oskil river. The enemy’s tactics here are well-developed, with drones operating on both sides, but the enemy has more in terms of optics," said the serviceman.

In a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on April 15, it was reported that in the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 20 times. They attempted to advance near the settlements of Nadiia, Novoe, Katerynivka, Hrekivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, Bilohorivka, and Hryhorivka.
