Former co-owner of "PrivatBank" Hennadiy Boholyubov, who illegally crossed the border with someone else’s passport, resides in Vienna.

In one of the most expensive districts of Vienna, Ukrayinska Pravda spotted a car with Ukrainian license plates.

It was in this car that former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Emine Dzhaparova drove her husband Hennadiy Boholyubov to the railway station in June 2024.

From there, according to the investigation, Boholyubov took a train and, using a passport in another person’s name, left the country.

Boholyubov has not yet received any charges from the Bureau of Economic Security. However, according to UP’s business circles sources, his departure was indeed urgent and could indeed be related to possible criminal prosecution.

For almost a year now, Boholyubov has been living in an elite district of Vienna. In March 2025, he was spotted by a UP film crew on his way to the office.

However, on the street where Boholyubov resides, private security was on watch and called the police. After checking documents and searching, the law enforcement officers released the film crew.

In February this year, Boholyubov came under sanctions in Ukraine for allegations of embezzling funds from the country. 

According to UP’s law enforcement sources, at the end of April, a Ukrainian court will consider Boholyubov’s appeal.

In case of a negative decision – the billionaire may be declared internationally wanted.

This time Boholyubov refused to comment to UP, citing a prohibition from his lawyers.
