Metropolitan officials legalize bribes through casinos and receive "thanks" in the form of parking spaces — investigation

Journalists have released the final part of the wiretapped conversation of the suspect in organizing corruption schemes in the capital, former Kyiv City Council deputy Denys Komarnytskyi, regarding the legalization of bribes and parking spaces, which have effectively become a new "currency" in Kyiv.

This was revealed by an investigation from Bihus.info journalists.

Investigative journalists found that capital officials take bribes for loyalty or assistance in resolving issues by providing parking spaces to avoid problems with cash legalization. These parking spaces are usually sold later.

As evidence, journalists released a phone conversation between Komarnytskyi’s manager and Kyiv City Council deputy Marchenko, in which the transfer of parking spaces as a reward for completing a construction project is discussed.

Among the other most common schemes for legalizing cash, journalists mention the opening of online casinos and the usual expensive "gifts" from relatives.
