Ukrainians lost over a billion hryvnias from cards in 2024, — NBU

This year, the amount of stolen funds increased by 37%. The average theft amount is 4,800 UAH.

83% of frauds occur online.

The most common schemes include fake payments from "Diya," counterfeit bank and marketplace websites, fake army donation collections, blackmail, and smartphone hacking.

The NBU also notes an increase in online transactions by 8%.
