Russians struck Kostyantynivka: two people were killed

On May 16, 2025, Russian troops launched an attack on Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region using strike drones, resulting in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to three others.— 

This was reported by the Kostyantynivka District Prosecutor’s Office. Pre-trial investigations have been initiated under part 1, 2, article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of the laws and customs of war.

The first strike on the city occurred around 11:30 using a «Molniya-1» UAV. One of the devices hit a passenger car, resulting in the death of a 55-year-old driver. Another 57-year-old man died near a shelter.

Two women aged 53 and 72 were also injured. The victims were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds, burns, and mine-explosive injuries.

Fifteen minutes later, at 11:45, Russian military forces launched another strike with an FPV drone on a residential area. A 72-year-old woman who was at the local market sustained severe injuries and is currently in the hospital in critical condition.

Medical assistance was provided to the victims, and they were hospitalized.
