On the night of May 18, Russian forces launched a drone attack on the Kyiv region. As a result of enemy strikes in the Obukhiv district of the region, one person has died, and three people, including a four-year-old child, were injured.

In the Fastiv district, a fire broke out at a feed mill after Russian strikes. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk.

"Unfortunately, as a result of the enemy attack in the Obukhiv district, a woman died from the injuries sustained. A 61-year-old man, a 59-year-old woman, and a 4-year-old child were injured. They have been taken to the hospital. All necessary medical assistance is being provided. The condition of the injured is of moderate severity," the official reported at 05:27.

The deceased was 28 years old.

He also noted that the Russians partially destroyed a private house in the Obukhiv district, and windows were shattered in a nearby apartment building.

The consequences of the attack are also being recorded in the Fastiv district, where a fire broke out on the territory of a feed mill after enemy strikes.

At the time of Kalashnyk’s message, the attack in the capital region was still ongoing, so he urged residents of the area to remain in shelters. An air raid alert was declared in the region at 23:39 on May 17.

Meanwhile, Russian drones also reached Kyiv. As a result of falling debris from intercepted targets in the Holosiivskyi district, the roof of a non-residential building was damaged. The situation as of 06:10 was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.

The KCMA emphasized that this time there was no fire or casualties, and specialists are working on the scene.
