In the Russian Federation, it was stated that Putin visited the Kursk region: called to capture Sumy

This is reported by the Kremlin.

The exact date of the work trip is not specified, it is only mentioned that it took place the day before. The Kremlin stated that Putin met with "volunteers" and Acting Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Khinshtein.

The Russians also claim that the dictator allegedly was in Kurchatov, where he visited the Kursk NPP-2, which is under construction.

In fact, neither the Kremlin nor the Russian media have provided proof of Putin’s trip to the Kursk region. The Kremlin’s website published a photo of the dictator at a white table with cups and candies.

Propagandist Pavel Zarubin showed footage in which Putin allegedly at the Kursk NPP-2, but the exact date when it was filmed is unclear.

At a meeting with regional authorities in the Kursk region, one of the participants stated: "Sumy should be ours. We cannot live like on a peninsula. There should be more of us. At least Sumy. I think so. And with you as the commander-in-chief, we will win."

Putin did not object to such goals in his response.

"That’s why Alexander Evseyevich (Khinshtein, the governor of Kursk. - Ed.) was chosen, he also wants more of everything," Putin replied.
