The SAPO requests to recognize the multimillion assets of Kyiv City Council deputy Halaychuk and his wife as unjustified

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office is requesting to confiscate real estate worth 9.7 million UAH from Kyiv City Council member from the "Fatherland" faction, Ihor Halaychuk, as well as 10 million UAH of income derived from these assets.

This was reported by the SAPO press service, but the politician’s name was not disclosed.

According to the information from Slovo i Dilo, it specifically concerns Halaychuk.

"The SAPO prosecutor, based on materials from the NAPC, NABU, and evidence obtained by the SAP, filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to recognize as unfounded and recover in favor of the state assets worth over 9.7 million UAH obtained by the Kyiv City Council member and his wife, as well as 10 million UAH of income derived from such assets," the prosecutor’s office informs.

According to the SAPO, during 2021–2022, Deputy Halaychuk and his wife Mariya acquired seven land plots near Kyiv and built two houses with a total value of 9.7 million UAH. Additionally, as a result of selling two land plots and two houses at prices higher than their acquisition cost, the couple earned an income totaling 10 million UAH.

An analysis of the family’s official income and expenses revealed that they did not have sufficient legal income to acquire these assets.

The HACC has seized part of the couple’s property as security for the lawsuit, including four land plots belonging to Halaychuk’s wife in the Kyiv region and an apartment in Kyiv with an area of 78.2 square meters; eight land plots belonging to the deputy and a garage in Kyiv.
