After the war ends, Ukrainians may begin to lose their homes due to debts for utilities.

This was stated by Oleksiy Kucherenko, Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Housing and Communal Services, on one of the TV channels.

«I think that right now no one will do anything, but when the war ends — God forbid, if many libertarians appear here — they will start taking away these apartments», — stated the Member of Parliament.

Earlier, energy expert Dmytro Korolchuk reported that the total debt of the population for utilities has already exceeded 200 billion hryvnias. In his opinion, the main reason for such an increase in debts is the economic crisis caused by the war, as well as an imperfect tariff policy.

Kucherenko urged the authorities not to allow the mass deprivation of Ukrainians of their homes and warned that such actions could lead to a social explosion after the end of hostilities.
