Russia has intensified its offensive: Residents of Chernihiv region flee due to fear of repeated occupation

Russian troops have intensified offensive actions in the Sumy region, capturing several settlements. The threat of enemy advancement in the north has caused a new wave of panic among residents of the Chernihiv region.

Correspondent of the channel "Current Time" Borys Sachalko, being in the border areas, reported that many residents of Chernihiv are leaving their homes, fearing a repeated occupation.

Despite this, the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, stated that currently, no attempts of border crossing by infantry groups have been recorded. The enemy maintains positions on the other side of the border; however, there are no active offensive actions in the Chernihiv region, as in the Sumy or Kharkiv regions. At the same time, according to him, the Russian army continues to shell the border area of the region using artillery, aviation, and drones.
