Law enforcement officers exposed a military serviceman who was directing Russian strikes on Ukrainian units

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Bureau of Investigation have uncovered yet another "mole" among the military. The traitor was adjusting enemy strikes on the Defence Forces.

This was reported by the press service of the SSU on June 18. The man faces life imprisonment for his actions.

"Counterintelligence officers of the Security Service and employees of the State Bureau of Investigation, with the assistance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, have uncovered another serviceman who collaborated with Russian special services," the message states.

According to case materials, the agent was relaying the enemy the coordinates of strikes on the positions of the military unit where he himself was serving. In particular, he disclosed information about the unit’s personnel, the location of objects, and military equipment.

The investigation established that after passing some of this information, the Russian army carried out a missile strike on the specified unit. At the time of the attack, the traitor was on a business trip in another region.

Law enforcement officers detained the man and found evidence during searches confirming his cooperation with the aggressor country.

"The suspect was notified of the charges under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment," the notification states.
