Changes are planned in the Ukrainian diplomatic corps to enhance the potential for interaction with partners.

This was  announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday.

According to him, there will be personnel changes, particularly in the Ukrainian diplomatic corps and in the management of institutions, "to strengthen Ukrainian potential both in partnerships and the country’s internal resilience."

"Regarding the diplomatic corps, within a month—including a meeting with all Ukrainian ambassadors—we will draw conclusions regarding this transformation," emphasized the head of state.

Meanwhile, recently, Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak, citing his sources, reported that one of the current ministers is planned to be sent as an ambassador to the United States during the upcoming government reshuffle, replacing the current ambassador, Markarova.

It is worth noting that discussions about replacing Markarova have been ongoing since autumn. They began after she organized Zelenskyy’s visit to an arms factory in Pennsylvania surrounded by Democrats in the midst of the US election campaign, which drew sharp criticism from Republicans. Speaker of the House Johnson then called on Kyiv to dismiss Markarova, but this did not happen, and she retained her position.
