The enemy massively attacked Kyiv: a metro station was damaged, three people died
On the night of June 23, Russian invaders carried out a combined attack on Kyiv: they attacked with drones and ballistic missiles. Residential buildings, a business center, a metro station, and other facilities were damaged in different districts of the capital.
This is reported by the mayor Vitaliy Klychko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, the attack damaged the roofing between the 4th and 5th floors of a five-story building, partially destroying the roof. A car fire broke out in the courtyard of the building.
"Evacuation of the residents is being conducted using an automatic ladder and a three-knee ladder. Seven people have been rescued so far, including a pregnant woman," the statement reads.
Also, at one address in the Solomianskyi district, the fire on the roof of a business center was extinguished, while at another, a fire broke out in a four-story office building over an area of 800 m2. Extinguishing is ongoing.
"In addition, fires have been recorded in open areas as a result of debris falling from UAVs and damage to non-residential buildings. Information about potential victims is being clarified," the report says.
As a result of the enemy shelling, the infrastructure of the "Sviatoshyn" metro station in Kyiv was damaged, and one of the exits was closed.
"As a result of the enemy attack, the infrastructure of the "Sviatoshyn" metro station was damaged. Exit No. 8 to Chornobaivska Square (Heroes of Brest) in the direction of the bridge is temporarily closed," according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
The rest of the entrances/exits are functioning as usual.
"The station’s operating schedule has not changed – the metro is working without interruptions," adds the Kyiv City State Administration.
The State Emergency Service reported that three people were killed in the capital as a result of the Russian attack.
"10 people, including 2 children and a pregnant woman, were rescued by emergency services," the service reports.
